Justin weatherized his Rockland home. He use to sleep with a beanie on his head to keep warm at night. It was cold. But now, Justin is living comfortably thanks to the Efficiency Maine rebate and Mattra Inc.

Client's Objectives

Justin had a problem. He paid too much for his electricity and he couldn't keep his house warm.

With winter just around the corner, Justin was worried about how he was going to keep his house warm this year. He also knew that he needed to lower his bills if he wanted to stay in his home for much longer. But he couldn't afford to weatherize until he got the 90% rebate from Efficiency Maine.

Scope Of Work

Mattra Inc was able to identify 8 air-sealing trouble spots and insulation concerns. They were able to create air barriers in the attic, knee walls, drop ceiling, staircase framing, exterior wall penetrations, rim joists, flooring, and in the basement.

The Rebate from Efficiency Maine covered 90% or the work & other charitable donations covered the other 10%.

Final Results

Justin is now enjoying his home, he's seeing significant savings on his energy bill, and is thankful that the Efficiency Maine program is available for folks like him.
